This class will go over the 72-hour kit, otherwise known as: BOB – Bug Out Bag, GOOD Bag – Get Out Of Dodge Bag, Go Bag, etc. If you had to leave town quickly, either by with or without prior notice, a bag of necessities may be all you have time to grab. It is critical that you have this bag prepared for these situations. However, with so many opinions and options out there, which is the best? We’ll go over the various components and the benefits/weaknesses of many “popular” items. We’ll discuss how to personalize your bag and maximize it’s use and recommendations for a personal “always on you” (EDC) kit, a grab bag and a get out of town on foot or vehicle bag.

Wilderness Survival – Core Survival Skills During our Introduction to Survival Skills, we will cover four distinct skills used to survive emergencies and other unpredicted events. This is a “Hands-On” class. Each student will learn, practice, and successfully perform skills needed to stay alive. Fire – Building and maintaining fires without matches or lighters
Water – Securing and purifying
Shelter – Protection from the elements
Cell Phone Survival – How your Cell Phone can save your life
Most people understand that having the skills to build a fire is extremely important, but can you build a fire without the use of matches or a lighter? Locating water in the wild is a matter of life and death; but can you make the water you find safe to drink? Even during the summer months, being capable of building a shelter is vital for protection, and a tremendous morale booster. Most people carry a cell phone everywhere they travel. Do you know how to use your cell phone in a survival situation? Let use show you how to not only survive, but to have the skills and confidence to return home to your family safely.
