Have you ever wondered how indigenous people cook their food without modern cooking pots?

Even though it is often overlooked, cooking is an important part of any survival experience. Plus, if you liberate yourself from all of those pots and pans filling up your backpack you can travel a lot lighter on the trail. This class will explore many interesting and useful cooking methods without utilizing any metal containers. Methods taught in this class will include, cooking directly on coals, with hot rocks, spit, cooking in vegetation, clay baking, and cooking underground. Primitive cooking can be lots of fun, and…. We all get to celebrate our cooking success by eating some really good food at the end!
